Contractor

What is the definition of a Contractor in CDM?

Contractors are the people or organisations appointed by clients to carry out construction works.

A contractor is likely to appoint a range of sub-contractors to build the works for which they have been contracted, as individual contractors tend not to have in their direct employment all the trades required to construct a building.

In the Mosaic application, Contractors can be invited in simply as Collaborators, or as Contractors "with design" which will enable Mosaic's in-built Risk Identification tool "HARI" for them, and the system will require them to complete the Risk Identification.
